Flite Plan
Flite Plan provides a tool to help
you locate airports in your area (or in an area that you wish to travel). Finding a
new destination to visit within a particular radius is a mouse click away. Find out
what there is to do at each of these airports (restaurants, attractions, lodging) and
see what other pilots thought about each of these places through reviews and journal
entries of recent flights. You may also find the best in class points of interest within a specified radius of
any given airport, or find points of interest along your specified flight path.

Enter the airport ID and select a distance from the dropdown menu to find all the airports
inside the radius value selected. Sort the list on any value by clicking on the appropriate column
header. Color coded text and checkmarks give you a visual representation of the airport's airspace
class and point of interest content. Click on the airport name to take you to the airport detail
page.

All the pertinent information about the selected airport is displayed here. If the data appears incorrect, submit
a change request using the link below the information. All the points of interest
at the airport are divided into sections (restaurants, attractions,
lodging, miscellaneous). The lists are sortable by name, distance from
the airport and average review by clicking on the column headers. If your point
of interest does not appear in the list, you can add it by clicking the
link below the appropriate section.
Recent flights to and from the airport are also displayed here and
have hypertext links to view the Flite Log if the pilot has chosen to
share it with the rest of the FliteJournal community. Any photos that
have been submitted for the airport are displayed at the bottom of the
page along with a button to view them as a slideshow or as individual
images.

Details about the point of interest selected are displayed on this
page including all the contact information, distance from the field, and
reviews submitted by other members. The reviews are all sortable on each
column by clicking on the column header and photos of the POI that have
been taken by other members are listed at the bottom of the page and are
viewable as inidividual images or a slideshow.
