Flite Crew
Flite Crew allows you to find other pilots
in your area. Establish connections with other pilots at your home airport, or at an airport
that you are planning to visit. Add these pilots to your Flite Crew and share your aviation
experiences with them. You are also able to plan and attend aviation events that either you or other pilots
schedule. Choose to invite your Flite Crew or the entire aviation community.

Find other pilots across your town or across the country by entering an airport
ID and radius to search. Look for all pilots or pilots holding a particular
certificate (student, sport, recreational, private, commercial, ATP) by selecting
the appropriate choice from the dropdown menu. Once you find a pilot you are
interested in learning more about, click on their name to find out more information
about them.

Find out more about the pilot selected on their biography page.
See the recent flights that the pilot has chosen to share with the
community and click on the detail link to find out more about that
particular flight including any photos and journal entries that may
have been attaced to the Flite Log. You can also view a short
background story on the pilot as well as their other interests.
Once you are ready to contact the pilot, click on the invitation link
below their contact information to invite them into your Flite Crew.
The pilot will receive an invitation message in their FliteJournal message
box.

Once your Flite Crew invitation has been sent, the invited pilot will
receive a new message. They will also see a pending Flite Crew invitation
in their Flite Crew list. View the inviting pilot's bio page and
choose to accept or reject the invitation.

Once a Flite Crew invitation has been accepted, a connection is
created between you and the other pilot. Each of you are then
shown as part of each other's Flite Crew on the My Flite Crew page.
You can communicate with your entire Flite Crew through the Flite Crew
message system and stay better connected for future event planning.

Send a message to an individual pilot or your entire Flite Crew
to stay connected and plan future get togethers.

Send a message to all the pilots at a particular airport by entering
the airport ID and choosing Airport from the dropdown menu. Whether you
are searching for someone new to meet at the airport or looking for
local knowledge of the area, this message type is very helpful to
network with other pilots.

View all the aviation events that are either upcoming or hosted by
you. Click on the event name to learn more about the event and sign up
to attend. My Scheduled Events show those events that you are currently
signed up to attend. Upcoming Events shows events that you are invited to
attend. My Hosted Events show those event that you have created and are
able to edit. Search for events within a specified radius value of an
airport to filter the events displayed.

View all the details of the event that you have been invited to.
See who has already signed up to attend and sign up yourself.
Add comments to the event detail page to share with other invitees
and attendees of the event.

Add a new aviation event by entering the details and choose to invite
the entire FliteJournal community or just your Flite Crew. If you wish,
you can limit the number of attendees to the event by entering a number
in the maximum attendees box. Once added, this event becomes visible to
all those invited on their Events page.
